What is it?
The PADI Open Water Programme is the most popular diver programme in the world, and your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. PADI diver credentials are the most recognized and respected in the world.
What entry requirements do I need to have?
Virtually anyone in good health and reasonably fit can learn to scuba dive. Participants as young as 10 may complete a PADI Junior Open Water Diver Programme. You must be able to swim 200 meters + swim or float for 10 mins.
What does the course entail / consist of?
You'll learn about scuba fundamentals - equipment and techniques by viewing the Open Water diver video - studying the manual and completing the knowledge reviews. You will practice your skills in a pool or confined water and experience several open water dives with an instructor. The course is approx. 35 hours and consists of 5 confined water dives + 4 open water dives. You can begin at home - cover the programme material then meet with your instructor, who will explain the theory to you, and answer any questions.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
The course training costs are £445 + manuals @ £50 = £495 (inc. VAT)
This can be spread over 2 installments. Credit cards are accepted.

What does the qualification entitle me to?
Dive with a buddy of the same grade or higher to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
